Angel Baby disappeared June 15th, 2011 and never came home. I did everything to find him but couldn’t. He was my kitty for 13yrs, He was found in a ditch as a new born just a few days old. He was in a litter but all his siblings were dead. His mommy was malnourished so I adopted them two and buried the dead newborns. Angel Baby was my constant companion and best-friend… I thought up this is a little ditty for my kitty…

An Alternative to Cough Drops?

I hate it when I get a bad cough and cough drops become my life line to leading a normal life. I will usually go through a pack of Fisherman Cough drops everyday – which are the best because they have 10mg of menthol which is the maximum and they’re not like other cough drops that are like hard-candy. Regardless of what you suck on to suppress your cough, doing it enough will make your mouth raw. I hate that. So I thought, “Why can’t they just make a spray, like dissolved cough drops, one spray would be roughly equal to one cough drop…” That doesn’t exist yet to my knowledge. So I did research online and discovered that menthol crystals (i.e. pure menthol) can be purchased and dissolved into a little pure glycerin (to dilute it and help it vaporize) and you can drop it on a filter and smoke it in an electronic cigarette. So that’s what I did, I purchased an electronic cigarette, pure glycerin and menthol crystals. I put it all together and it worked, if you use enough menthol one puff on that I think has the same numbing effects as sucking on a 10mg cough drop. I don’t have a cough but I can’t wait to get one to try it and to see if it works as a sufficient cough suppressant – which it should because the effects feel the same – and that will save me from getting a raw mouth from sucking on so many cough drops every day.

2. Unzip the file, double click the application titled “Record” (not “Record.exe” or “Record.pdb”)
3. Make sure a Device is selected, then click the “…” button to specify the file location and give it name but remember to include the extension “.mp3″
4. Leave the Duration at 12 hours, hit Record then play the music through your sound card, when the music is done hit Stop.

Scientists Create A Piano That Talks and a Brain is Built In A Supercomputer

     

This reminds of the Ted talk give by Henry Markram on the supercomputer that they built that model’s the brain’s 100 billion neurons. One of the many things he said that stuck with me was that the brain is like a 1 million key piano. We’re playing it so quickly it’s making our impression of reality. He also said that to make the brain simulation, each neuron required a laptop with a G5 processor to process the algorithms, they used 10,000 IBM laptops! I love this talk, I’ve watched it several times:
